My response to CVS:
Please be advised that I EXPLICITLY do NOT, repeat NOT, grant my permission for you to share my medical infromation with Microsoft or any other outside entity in direct violation of HIPPA.
Please advise immediately if you intend to ignore the law and my wishes so that I may retain legal council in a timely fashion.
If CVS if hiring Microsoft (buying cloud storage) to handle patient data, then that is NOT a violation of HIPAA - HIPAA allows for medical data to be shared with contracted companies as needed, as long as steps are still taken to protect the data from other parties.

“as long as steps are still taken to protect the data from other parties”
