Many years ago, in my late teens, I happened to drive through Spanish Harlem on a summer evening, and I was pleasantly amazed at the many beautiful Latin women sitting out on the steps of the “walk-ups” to enjoy the cooling night air. A few years later I married one and never regretted it.
