It is what you get in a basically monoracial society which carefully vets their immigrants. They base decisions on data, not emotion.

I am not saying Japan society is perfect by any means and they do have elements of racism. I am only saying that as a resident of 14 years, they gave me opportunities that I never would've had in the United States and do the same to 'gaijin' whom they deem useful to their society and respectful of their culture.

They treasure their nation and values and work toward the preservation of both. If only we had leaders in this country who felt the same. Instead, we are constantly betrayed by sellouts.
