Yeah...I think I caught the beginning of that "apology tour" in front of the TX delegation after the GOP convention. Cruz sounds real apologetic (lol).
Every other candidate who refused is gone
Marco Rudio...still around....Rand Paul...still around... Chris Cristie...still around.
Even Jebito is still hovering somewhere in the background like the ghost of Christmas past.
Speaker Paul Ryan isn't around, but he left Nancy Pelosi to take his place...after failing to fund the border wall, a signature piece of the Trump agenda.
Looking at the current infrastructure bill winding its way through Congress, its hard to understand how Trump couldn't finagle $5 billion dollars funding in 2017.
You are playing stupid. Aside from Paul who is obviously not an enemy of Trump despite you including him in the list, neither Rubio nor Christie have any shot at ever being President. They're in the single digits support wise and Christie in particular is hated by a super majority of the Republican party. He is, to use your own language, a "ghost."
This is clearly what I meant, even though you are attempting to claim that a politically irrelevant person merely existing is proof that opposing Trump isn't deadly. If Trump's enemies aren't politically irrelevant, then they--like so many already--have retired or will soon retire. And
Either way, lumping in DeSantis with these irrelevant people makes DeSantis look even worse.
Oh, and I forgot to add:
Obviously Ted Cruz is going around calling himself one of Trump’s biggest allies, posting photos of himself meeting Trump in his office, etc.
You’ve been around long enough on FR to remember what the reaction was on this forum to Cruz’s pettiness during the election. It wasn’t pretty, and my point on Cruz’s severely depressed voter turnout compared to Abbot still stands.
If Cruz had remained a NeverTrumper, he would have lost his Senate seat in Texas.
