I’d just hung the deer by its neck on the swingset for skinning and butchering when
Who hangs their deer from the neck?
If somebody's got to kill a certain few for the betterment of the herd as a whole, why would you let the meat go to waste?
Former co-worker of mine is from Iowa. Monster deer. Absolute monsters.
Apparently the food banks in Iowa never go empty. All the excess deer meat is donated.
You can get a deer tag. Fill it. Get another one. Fill it. And keep going. So many deer that they’re a nuisance as well as being monsters. He told me the insurance companies play a big role in how deer are harvested in the state. He’s a cop and said, at night, it would be nothing to see herds of them crossing the roads.
you’ll make your money figuring out how to keep them from rolling onto the hood and through the windshield. That’s where all the hurt comes from.
On a side note, for such a docile and tame looking animal, they can straight up ruin a vehicle when they get hit.
I always enjoy reading Humberto Fontova.
My old neighbor had a daughter that was a militant vegan.
She had a bumper sticker that read “Real friends to let their friends eat meat”. One day the daughter pulled up and it was the first time I was being introduced to her. She STARTED with “I am a vegan” as if it was the most important thing about her.
My reply was to look at her with a concerned expression, and said “You know that they have found a cure for that ... right?”
“They run through suburban neighborhoods like dogs.”
Dogs? You let a dog run through here, they wind up downtown in a wok.
I knew something didn’t sound right but couldn’t figure it out.
Thats it.
You hang it upside down and cut it’s throat. So,it bleads out.
😮
So far I haven't hit one but I've had some close calls.
