EVs don’t meet everyone’s needs. Those they do meet, which is a large if not majority fraction, they meet very well.

No more oil changes, checking air cleaner etc.

Wait until the 150,000 mile airless tire comes out which I believe some companies are looking at putting on their cars in a year or so. No more tire inflation or nail/screw issues.

The automakers probably anticipate that at some point, it’ll be illegal to buy cars that use internal combustion engines. First step would BS by 2030, you can buy only new EVs. In the year 2040, gas will become illegal (except for military).
