“This could be an effective way to disrupt the logistics chain the Left is using to demographically pack swing Districts and States with a flood of illegals.
It is outside the box thinking.”

It is indeed outside the box thinking. His COMMENDABLE Trump-like actions are going beyond mere defensive/reactive tactics on to what could be considered a “counteroffensive” strategy. If he’s successful in standing up the Florida State Guard, he’ll have another tool that he could deploy for things such as preventing illegal alien passengers from being disembarked in Florida from Biden’s chartered flights.
Keep up the good work, Governor!
Yay! DeSantis. Keep it up. Maybe some of the other GOP governors will recognize what a patriot is supposed to do. (I’m talking to you, Bill Lee.)
“He could’ve pardoned ... Snowden,”
Snowden didn’t want to be pardoned by Trump. He said he hated Trump because of some stupid reason like you can’t buy love or something. So screw him. He was the impetus for some earth-shattering revelations, and I appreciate that, but this level of TDS is disturbing. It’s like he’s saying, “I’d rather be an exile from my country forever than take something from Trump.”
Governors have more power than they want to use - unless of course it is used to force draconian pandemic measures!!!. The 10 amendment gives them enormous power. Use it!!
Let's forget about DeSantis for a moment and just describe a generic political figure in the U.S. who has this kind of background:
1. Ivy League (Yale) undergraduate degree
2. Harvard law school
3. Military officer
4. Decorated combat veteran -- as a JAG lawyer
5. Assistant U.S. Attorney in Dept. of Justice -- while still a Naval Reserve officer
6. Never worked outside of government ... graduated right from the Naval Reserves to a career in politics
Like I said ... let's forget about who this is for a moment. If you had given me the background I've posted above and asked me what I thought of this generic/anonymous person, I'd swear I was looking at a textbook example of a "Deep State" operative who had been groomed for a political career. In fact, the Beltway is filled with buckets full of @ssholes who bring the same background to the table. (Another Freeper astutely pointed out that Pete Butt-Fudge has a remarkably similar career path.)
If DeSantis runs and he is nominated, I'll vote for him. But I will never trust the guy.
