The Ivy League doesn’t give athletic scholarships - not allowed.


That may be true in a technical sense, but the admissions departments as some of the Ivys have been known to ease athletes past the rigorous admissions standards as well as award “needs based” scholarships. So, in effect, you have athletic scholarships by another name.

Not all the Ivy’s do this, but ask Harvard and Yale thought of Penn Football dominance of the Ivy League back in the 80’s & 90’s. The constantly complained about Penn greasing the skids for football prospects.

Plus, Penn’s academic standards aren’t nearly as rigorous as those of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc.
