This press conference has come and gone, being that 6 pm is 2 pm eastern.

Boris Johnson held a press conference shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, when it was confirmed that new, tougher Covid rules would be put in place.

He announced the so-called 'Plan B' measures, which he confirmed as including work from home from Monday as well as Covid passports for entries to large venues.
