Last time was to investigate antibody tests and see whether they were classifying blood by vax status (they are/were not).
I used to donate regularly until the ability of the NYC Red Cross workers took a nose dive in the 90s. (I told her the needle wasn’t in right. I could feel it leaking under my skin. I was ignored. Next day I was black and blue on inside of arm from armpit to wrist) After that I would only donate when the call went out about a specific case and would only donate at the hospital that made the call. Once I even got a ride in a cop car, both ways, during a blizzard.
Today, if I hear of anyone I know, or their family, needing blood or going for surgery, I ask what type. If O-, I tell them to let me know if needed.
