Dennis Prager was talking about this today and explaining how this story is not covered by any of the national media. Even the local Penn State news sources are not bragging about the new women’s sport record (won by a man)

You just need a chromosome rule. Contestants can self-identify and dress as they wish. But XX competes with XX, and XY competes with XY.
(I am aware that a very small percentage of individuals are neither XX nor XY. Let those folks choose.)
I wonder if Michael Phelps still has any years of college eligibility left - maybe he can come back, identify as a woman and begin a record-setting reign over women’s swimming. #CouldHappen

I don’t know anything about swimming and barely follow or even acknowledge any sports. Even I know that breaking any record by that much is terribly wrong.
Every record HE/SHE sets will have an asterisk next to it.
I think ALL sports should be unisex. Men, women, trans, eunuchs, bi’s, all, can compete in the same event. That seems most fair. So if weightlifting Ilsa beats weightlifting Igor, it’s all good.
Total equality. That’s what feminists have demanded forever. No gender related issues whatsoever.
I think Phelps has 4 years of college eligibility. He swam for Baltimore Aquatic Club as a kid and then moved to Wolverine Aquatic Club when his age group coach became head coach at the University of Michigan. I’m pretty sure Phelps didn’t go to college.
