Getting Congress to suspend habeas corpus, restrict freedom of the press, close down Internet sites that aren't censored, arrest a justice or two. Losing a war is win/win for Democrats: Young Republicans die in service, and the State grows irrevocably at home.
I fully suspect the Democrats are capable of lobbing a small nuke at one of these countries just to get some proportionate retaliation which will be used to justify emergency measures.
Biden basically gave Putin everything Putin wanted so he either was blackmailed or Hunter’s art collection if getting bought.
