Dozens of survivors of the Japanese attack on the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii will gather on Tuesday to mark the 80th anniversary of the event, which sent the United States into World War II.
About 40 Pearl Harbor survivors and 110 World War II veterans will attend the 80th Remembrance Ceremony at Kilo Pier in Honolulu to commemorate the loss of 2,400 service members and civilians during the surprise Japanese attack on the island of Oahu on Dec. 7, 1941.
"This year's ceremony -- 'Valor, Sacrifice, and Peace' -- honors the sacrifices of those who died in the attack while paying tribute to the allies' ultimate victory in WWII," the National Parks Service said in a statement.
In Washington, President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden visited the World War II Memorial Tuesday morning to participate in a wreath-laying.

..80 years ago today, “a day that will life in infamy...” God watch over those survivors of Pearl Harbor and World War II....my now deceased dad was in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in the Pacific Theater...never talked about it much and I can now understand why.......
Same here. But the White House put out that she should be refereed to as such and all the MSM abandoned their usual practice of reserving the Dr honorific for MDs only.
And her doctorate is in Education which Biden basically bought for her from the University of Delaware.

We were reading all the dispatches and we knew the locations of the carriers and support ships. Monitoring stations across the Pacific zeroed in on them. FDR goaded them into it. The word “Surprise” was the pinnacle of WW II propaganda. It was wanted, but Europe was the real priority. Watch out, it can happen again. Democrats seem to love Global Conflicts, they bail us out of depressions. The military industrial complex wins out. Its going to be a lot tougher next time.
...interestingly, quite a number of years ago, graduates from our law schools were granted the Juris Doctor (”Doctor of Laws”) degree in lieu of the time-honored LL.B. degree, but I have never never ever heard a lawyer insist on referring him/herself as “Doctor”.... Jill Biden is an egocentric, ambitious woman who pushed her demented husband into the ring to become President...her dream apparently always was to become First Lady some day...Melania Trump has more class in her little finger than “Doctor Jill” has in her whole self.....

I don’t know the sources you have based your statement on, but I have found nothing in 60 years of studying World War II and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor to support them, other than the US knew the Japanese were near to launching attacks on the US, Britain and the Netherlands East Indies in the Pacific area.
We were NOT tracking the Japanese attack fleet as it sailed, under radio silence across the northern Pacific, north of the regular shipping routes. And the Navy’s code station Hypo on the Pearl Harbor Naval Base, said they had no idea were the carriers were, whether in the Philippine/Indonesia area, in home port, or as LtCdr Joe Rochefort said “coming around Diamond Head.” Additionally many of the military communications which in retrospect gave some indications of the attack were NOT decoded until months or a year or two after the Dec 7 attack.
The “monitoring stations” were in Hawaii, at Manila, and in San Francisco, there was not the extensive intercept stations that we have today.
The diplomatic Purple 7 part message indicated war was going to happen but gave no specific location. Most all of the Army and Naval command expected an attack to come against the Philippine Islands and British/Dutch colonies. An attack directed against Pearl Harbor came under “possible but not probable” category. MG Short made a major mistake in thinking that the main threat against his aircraft was sabouteurs and not air attack, resulted in the fighter aircraft at Wheeler and Bellows Air Fields being moved from sandbag revetments and lined up on the tarmac in front of the hangers to make them easier to guard. Several of the battleships had hatches that were normally closed, open in preparation to planned inspections on Dec 8 and the following days. And there was no use of torpedo nets because the Navy thought that Pearl Harbor was too shallow for aerial torpedoes to be used.
Trump would have gone to Pearl Harbor to personally shake everyone’s hand and thank them.

I have, for most of my 70 years. The “Magic” intercept that most everyone use as evidence to “show that Pearl Harbor was the target,” decoded months/years AFTER Dec 7, 1941. The Purple diplomatic code showed that the Japanese were going to begin a war, but did NOT give a location.

The Dec 41 attack was multi phased, it also had other attacks besides Pearl Harbor. Radio messages were being intercepted, the ships were talking to each other along with messages being sent over public radio station frequencies. Traffic was detected N/E of Pearl and our intended naval maneuvers there were suspended. We didn’t want to appear threatening? Maybe they were more worried about having the carriers exposed. Things were heating up in DC with the Japanese Gov’t. and the Ultimatum to leave China as we left our fleet as sitting ducks in a row? I will never be convinced that we were unaware and it was a sneak attack. IMO, WW II already had us involved in Europe via lend lease and the arsenal of Democracy, but having our boys sent to fight another foreign war was not popular. We had to get in it, but how? Get Hitler to declare war on the USA by having his ally attack the USA? It wasn’t about Pearl Harbor, it was about getting the goods to England and the USSR to save Europe. Japan attacked us, Hitler honored his alliance commitment and FDR got his war to save England, the USSR, and liberate Europe. The convoys could flow there with full protection of the USA and the troops were on their way.

Oh another conspiracy? I guess we can ignore it then. Looks like it has been over researched. I wonder how many versions there are out there? I don’t think when I reach 102 there will be any further releases on the subject. I do know that when it happened, my father at the time it happened said, here we go again, next stop Europe. The conspiracy started for him on Dec. 8th.
