“Well our hospital had more deaths over this weekend than in the past two years. 12 died, 50 actually in the hospital and 9 in ICU.....so we’re getting hit with something.”

I’ve watched the projections and for my home state, Texas, we were projected for a high point of infections in September, matching the high point last January, and then the numbers would decline. The reported numbers have matched those projections.
However,, of all the people I know and stay in touch with, primarily on Facebook, there have been many more who have gotten Covid over the past three months than during the entire pandemic. Not by just a little, either, but at least a 10 to 1 ratio.
It’s a pretty large sample of people, relatively, a good enough sample that I’ve found myself wondering the past few weeks if the infection numbers reported are just complete BS.
I lean toward BS. I would not know of any pandemic if I did not read news.
“...I’ve found myself wondering the past few weeks if the infection numbers reported are just complete BS.”
There are no reliable and accurate numbers concerning COVID, from any source whatsoever, and this has been the case pretty much since the beginning of the whole thing.
Just cherry-pick what you want to believe, like everyone.
