He was the token Republican to run a hopeless shot against Clinton. Similar to Romney/McCain on the hopeless scale, but at Dole seemed way more decent. RIP

Neither Romney nor McCain would qualify to shine Dole’s boots. He was head and shoulders above them.

He wasn’t an exciting candidate, but he was a good and honest and dedicated man from what I can see. Nothing like sleazy Juan McStain and Wrongme.
