I was just thinking that the volcano is creating a lot of work for future archaeologists.

You can try...

No diff from the folks who built on the Lower East Rift Zone on the big island of Hawaii.

You just hope the magma doesn’t hit the fan during your lifetime.

BTW, who’s dumber: the folks who live there, or the governments making money off of allowing them to do it...

“Tell that to the approximately 3 million people in the Naples area in the shadow of Mt Vesuvius.”

LOL. I like blaming the victims just for fun. In this case, I thought it was about 100 years ago that it last blew, but it was 50 years ago, so I actually do, pretty much, stand by my comment.

thousands of bees buried under this for 50 days, are still alive…they saved themselves by sealing their hives with a resin called propolis

Thousands of bees and nary a flowering plant to pollinate.

Imagine the chaos when that mountain blows.

I didn’t like staying there for two days.

If you build a home near an active volcano, you would have to expect that this would eventually happen. Correct?

So, everyone downwind of the Mt St Helens ash plume should move away too?

That’s a smart idea. Hyuk

The puns on this thread are as thick and deep as the stuff from the volcano.

Always an ash in the crowd…

Spain has called up an Army unit to go to the island and help with ash disposal.

It is a real PITA, this from first hand experience.

Thousands of bees and nary a flowering plant to pollinate.

Nature has an amazing ability of recovering from what we consider catastrophic events.
