Make your own gifts.

When I was a kid Christmas mornings were always lean. Oranges, a bag of nuts to crack, underwear, socks... the usual 60s stuff. Spoolie’s, a family board game.

One year I got a geologists hammer!

We were sooooo neglected back in the 60’s🙄

It really depends just how gawdy you want your XMAS to be.

And the age group you’re buying for.

One poster suggested purchasing items from local craftsmen and that would work for a lot of age groups but there is a some groups that it wouldn’t work for.

Let’s all write our congressman and senators and tell them about the California laws that have stripped independent truckers from going into these port areas with their tractors and pulling cargo containers to other destinations.

The private sector independent truckers out there have been totally screwed over by the California government, and ironically a great number of those truckers are minority owned independents, with leases and loans on their trucks and all the peripherals surrounding that businesses (hint: it’s a helluva lot more in depth than a truck and cb radio).

Maybe we’ll go back to Monkey sock dolls soon.

I think this is kind of adventurous for modern-day XMAS in America.

I think a true test of our resolve would be how we get through XMAS without raising a fuss like a 2 year old at Walmart who really doesn’t want to be there.
