Police are searching for two suspects wanted in a purported “follow-home robbery” which occurred in North Hollywood early Friday morning.
The armed robbery took place at 2:50 a.m. in the 12000 block of Albers Street.
Los Angeles police said the male suspects are believed to have followed the victims home from a club in Hollywood.
The suspects used a handgun to rob the victims of cash and jewelry before speeding away in a white Toyota, police said. The victims were not hurt.
One suspect was described as Black, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a grey and black jacket with a surgical mask.
The other was Black, between 30 and 40 years old wearing a hat and gloves, police said.
There have been a recent slew of “follow-home robberies” in L.A., in which suspects tail victims home, usually from high-end restaurants or nightclubs, and rob them of expensive jewelry, purses or other items.

Nothing to see here.
It’s just just reparations...
Can’t you just feel the vibrancy?
This hits home for Hollywood liberals. They’re supposed to be safe in their wealthy Beverly Hills communities.
A simple solution:
Shoot them first.
I believe the woman killed was Harold Fords aunt. I actually like the guy, about as conservative as you’ll find in the Democrat party.
Cops are searching so they can arrest them then let them go? Or convict them then let them go? Why?
“I believe the woman killed was Harold Fords aunt. I actually like the guy, about as conservative as you’ll find in the Democrat party.”
?
The victims were not hurt.
Wow. Some dumb gerbilist has gone off the reservation.
Gee, the Randy Bongo DJ Service is on that block.
What could go wrong?
We’re becoming Brazil.
(Follow-Home Crime Wave)
One of our long time friends was in the Nav Sec group and ended up working for an agency out of N. Va. until he was named as working for them. Then he was retired,
He and his wife often visited us for weekends or vice versa.
One weekend, they were over here, and the wives were out shopping.
He and I went to lunch at one of our favorite spots here.
On the way back to our house, I was driving, and he said lets just drive around and let me see the area. On the way back he told me to pull into the semi round about at a school house yard driveway. This was a weekend with no students. He had me stop about midway through the semi round about. He got out went to a payphone near the entrance, a car which had been following us stayed back and finally passed us and headed back down town. I had barely noticed the following car.
He, then had me drive into 2 other semi turnabouts to show me where to turn off before I got home in case I was being followed. A couple of years later. Two different times, over the decades I used those options.
Both times after I drove into semi circles, the following cars stayed back of my car and then followed me until I headed back to town and pulled into the sheriff’s parking lot or the police/down town parking lot.
My friend said that cop offices and parking lots were usually avoided by the bad guys.
One time this friend and his wife were driving to our home after dark and had a follower vehicle on a normally vacant non express way road. This friend pulled into a high way patrol office parking lot and started honking his horn. The tailing vehicle took off slowly. A CHP officer was coming in for a break and saw what was happening. He followed the other vehicle until it reversed its route and left heading back out of town.
I'll give (I believe) Washington Post credit. They capitalize both White and Black.
I'm kinda a stickler about grammar rules (even if I make mistakes myself).
Proper nouns should be capitalized. When we are talking about race, whether Black, White, Latino, or Asian, we are using proper nouns. If we are talking about crayon colors: black and white, we are using common nouns.
What really pisses me off is when we capitalize one proper noun (Black) and not the other (white) and then try to justify it with some mealy-mouthed excuse about White supremacy.
Proper nouns are capitalized! It isn't a matter of respect. It's a matter of rules.
LOL. You must not be from around there. North Hollywood is nowhere near Beverly Hills and is pretty much a war zone. Even the more famous Hollywood on the other side of the hill is a now seedy pit well past it’s glory days. Nothing like the heyday of classic moviedom.
Yup. I’m surprised it took this long. But as Hemingway put it “Slowly at first. Then all at once.”
Another dependable money maker south of the border and elsewheres are child kidnappings for Ransom. That should become common place, if historical trends continue.

When did black become a race?
“This hits home for Hollywood liberals.”
This incident occurred in NORTH Hollywood, which is in the San Fernando Valley and several miles north of the well-known Hollywood. I lived in North Hollywood for about a year back in the 1970s, and it was pretty much a blue collar town.
this is just socialist democracy in action. Conservatively, about 50 million residents in 2019 in America are foreign-born. Some come from countries where generations were taught to hate the middle class, hate government, and hate laws. For some of those 50 million, they don’t care about American laws, either, which encourages the existing lower social classes whom they deliberately mix with, awarding themselves intrinsic permission to rob when possible, with violence when necessary. Changing physical environment doesn’t aways change the behavior. (as some parents who moved towns because of their kid can sadly attest)
America is cliff-noting into what the rest of the world is really like - at the mercy of gangs, cartels, warlords and spontaneous mob justice. And highlighting the reality that America is one of the few last places to have and enjoy nice things, places and activities, and why law and order, and tight discretion in who we let in the country and which of the previous incarcerated we let walk the streets again really is of utmost importance to preserve our own culture.
You sure? I thought I read that it occurred in Beverly Hills.
North Hollywood was pretty iffy back in the 1990s, but has since been gentrifying. They even have a NoHo Arts District.
