A prosecutor says the parents of a teen accused of killing four students at a Michigan high school were summoned a few hours earlier after a teacher found a drawing of a gun, a person bleeding and the words “help me.”
Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald made the disclosure Friday as she filed involuntary manslaughter charges against Jennifer and James Crumbley, the parents of 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley.
McDonald says the gun used in the shootings at Oxford High School was purchased by James Crumbley a week ago and given to the boy.

I searched the doc for “storage”.
And based on the info I’ve seen so far, same goes here.
What makes you think charges are justified in this case?
Your summary of the events supports what I'm hearing also. WJR has been nonstop all day with the latest on this story.
There is a huge pile of VIDEO evidence (from cameras all over the school) of the kid gunning down his classmates in cold blood. Plus videos he made the night before talking about what he was going to do. Plus writings he made. Plus social media posts he put up including one saying “I am Death - The Destroyer of Worlds. See you tomorrow, Oxford”.
How you can take the position of “not proffering opinions on guilt, innocence” etc is incomprehensible. Perhaps you’re just not up on what all happened. This is the most open and shut case probably in the history of humankind, with mountains of evidence to send him away for the rest of his life - as he should be.
Not point in arguing with the mentally ill
Parents are apparently on the run..here’s the headline on FNC’s website..
“Police launch manhunt for parents of accused school shooter after they are charged in campus massacre”
As if this story could get any more tragic and unbelievable.
They showed the parent’s house (when the police were raiding it) on TV the other day. They do not appear to be “of means” (nice way of saying it was a tiny house in a neighborhood of other tiny houses). So I suspect they couldn’t just raid the piggy bank for tens of thousands to hold them over while they make their way to Mexico or other parts unknown. That means they are going to have to use a credit card at some point - unless they are hunkered down and a family member is hiding them. And when they do..it’s game over.
Now, when they get tried for the 4 manslaughter charges, there won’t be a jury in the world who finds them innocent - especially this last little stunt.
This will have to play out in court.
I don’t trust the leftist news media to not twist the facts.
As it is being presented these folks supposedly had guns laying around all over the place ..with a kid who had psychiatric issues
And the father goes out on BLACK FRIDRAY and buys his screwed up kid his own gun.
And mom is yucking it up.
Interesting how we can barely get the name of some shooters for several day much less many details..yet in this case we know some very specific details.
You don’t have to trust the MSM. Few do nowadays.
The key parts of the story are 100% supported by what has been all over social media - including the kid’s OWN POSTINGS.
Plus, the County sheriff (who has been around for a very long time and is highly respected) has already publicly said there are hundreds of hours of video tape from inside the school that prove beyond any doubt exactly what happened.
Excellent post! Reading replies of defending the parents actions (for what is known), the twisting into pretzel knots of some in response to you has convinced me that even some here I’d question on any form of gun ownership. It’s obvious there are those that seek any excuse to cover for even blatantly illegal and irresponsible activities of parents to score political points.
We know very specific details because they’ve laid their lives out all over Social Media for all the world to see. Even a non law enforcement official type could easily put two and two together and reach the quick conclusion of four.
Just so you know the school did want him to go with the parents after the meeting...they resisted...so even though they were aware of the seriousness of the situation they still didn’t co-operate with the school in removing him.
I Personally see the step- mother as a confrontational individual.
“The Detroit News reported that despite previously promising to show up if a warrant was put out for their arrest, the couple is not responding to messages from their attorney and can’t be found.”

The mother was with him.
Yes - that’s right..the school did indeed want the parents to take him with them..but the school also had every justifiable reason to prevent him from going back to class, and didn’t do that.
I agree.....Initially blaming the parents I oppose that gut reaction so often seen and heard. But after some of the the facts have been presented it’s pretty clear these parents had their role in this and not in their sons interest.
I think also it warrants mentioning the mother is the step-mother. His older brother moved out of the home because of disagreements etc. with her. He moved to Florida with his birth mother.
You are correct. There is no direct law. The law is sort of backward: if a gun is used in a crime or accident the gun owner is charged with liability if the weapon was not stored correctly. (Assuming people have common sense, which obviously Bonnie and Clyde do not)
A law was attempted to be passed recently, this year. (proposed by a Democrat), but the Democrats knocked it down because it did not go as far as they wanted. (draconian)
A parent has to be with a child when he/she is discharging the weapon.
“I personally see the step-mother as a confrontational individual.”
You can say that again! Few bricks shy of a load.
Thanks. I read that she mentioned that point somewhere.
I do wonder what it was that juiced this kid up in his life well before this incident. His older brother said he was just an average kid so something was going on in this kids head that got juiced.
