What I got out the story is if one grabs a bad actor’s hat, he will run away.
I dont really know anything about Brazil on a personal level. I do watch a couple of self defense channels on occasion that has Brazilian footage of attacks from time to time. The videos lead one to believe that in Brazil anybody with anything nice enough to bother to steal also has a driveway gate and garage to secure the vehicle. These videos make it appear that attacks by small groups on owners arriving home and exiting vehicles is the common way to do it. Again though, I dont actually have any idea of the real statistics.
Not modern cars. You can’t hotwire them anymore.

well, to a ‘polite’ society still steeped in firm principles of social law and order, and the sanctity of private property and one’s own castle, following someone home other than to seranade them is shocking enough. Third-world ‘cultural differences’ of carrying a baseball bat, while a lookout buddy holds the security gate open for a getaway, is more ‘shocking’ still.
The entire point of bleeding heart ‘equity’ is for third-world mentalities to be grateful for the safety of first-world societies and settle in with similar values. Instead, we see explotation of western society’s openness by the continuing of the criminal behavioral patterns of third-world countries that, frankly, have reduced the median age in those countries to around 30, solely through violent attrition. The English have no desire to duplicate the disaster the USA has created with immigration, or end up like Ecuador or Brazil.

I knew a Latino who lives in Spain now and came from Brazil, from Rio, and their Favela’s put our hoods here in the US to shame, there is no comparison, they raise some tough people there.
