A prosecutor on Thursday repeated her criticism of the parents of a boy who is accused of killing four students at a Michigan school, saying their actions went “far beyond negligence” and that a charging decision would come by Friday.
“The parents were the only individuals in the position to know the access to weapons,” Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said. The gun “seems to have been just freely available to that individual.”
Ethan Crumbley, 15, has been charged as an adult with two dozen crimes, including murder, attempted murder and terrorism, for a shooting Tuesday at Oxford High School in Oakland County, roughly 30 miles (50 kilometers) north of Detroit.

Ahhh
Thank you
I’ll know not to reference it again
Fake news
that’s because those kids were raised properly. The parents didn’t realize he was troubled even after being told by the school the day before? He was on Facebook waving around the gun bragging about being death.
If you were the parents of the kids who were killed you might see it differently.
Sorry, but if your kid had the emotional issues this kid had, are you really going to leave your firearms in a place where he can just take it? If you get your kid drunk, then he takes your car and kills someone, would you be liable? I guess it depends on State law. But it also sounds like the school screwed up here too.
I’m guessing the parents are white.
Yep.
I stupidly broke my own rule about not believing anything in the first 3-5 days after something like this happens
He was 15! They could have at least gotten him a learners permit to drive an SUV.
AGAIN, just as soon as Government Officers and Employees are held to the same standard.
I'm NOT recommending punishment or tolerance, I am insisting on Equal Protection Under The Law.
......”If you were the parents of the kids who were killed you might see it differently”....
No, I wouldn’t see it differently.....I raised two boys to adulthood. I know something about raising boys to responsible men. But by the age of 12 you’ve pretty much taught them respect for others and themselves....the rest is just shoring that up until they’re on their own.
The shooters family is clearly dysfunctional...divorce and remarrying will always throw the kids into disarray and they never forget it. Some learn to live with it others never do.
This kid knew right from wrong....he chose the direction he went.
What about Tate, the kid who rushed this kid? Seems to media are burying that story all the way around. The Sheriff even said there was no video showing Tate tried to go after that other kid. Callous thing to say.
In a time when kids can get an abortion, start sex change protocol, or even get a vaccine for Covid without a parents permission, you think the parent should be held accountable? If you spank your kids you’re brought up on charges of child abuse. Whereas I agree with your sentiment, we have to get government out of child rearing before we can start to hold parents accountable.
What the heck are you talking about? That was the entire point of my post you you jump in disagreeing with what I said by repeating my exact point.
Whenever something horrible like this happens, the media always tried to tie it to Trump and Trump supporters. It’s always bullshit.
What exactly are you comparing this story to? Are you saying a cop’s kid stole the cop’s gun and went on a shooting rampage and wasn’t prosecuted? I’m not sure I can remember a parent being arrested for the actions of a minor, and that hasn’t happened in this case either. All the prosecutor said is that they are looking at everything.
How do you know the kids knew right from wrong? Some people don’t, look at Fauci. I think the word is psychopath.
I tend to believe the reports of the students on site, that Tate did attempt a disarm. Their accounts are difficult to read observationally.
It’s the SUV that did it.
The media is still trying to convince us that he was simply driving away from a domestic dispute and just accidentally ran over 60 people. No big deal, dontcha know.
It’s time parents were held responsible for what their kids spoon. Maybe it will make them start paying attention instead of allowing them to become ferals.
They’re only going to exercise that on certain parents when it’s politically expedient. Look at all the underage ferals shooting, murdering, and carjacking in major cities.
Where would they even begin, and how would the Democrat leaders feel about that?
Agree.
