He’s talking about physically destroying the gun. Other posts in the thread had additional questions about his being able to get evidence from a trial to do that.

As for letting go of the past, they never will unless they are having memory loss like Alzheimer’s. I’ve known hundreds that have gone through PTSD and have learned to work with it by controlling the symptoms for most (about 90%) with drugs, but never to be rid of it.

So claiming to destroy the gun as a symbolic thing doing nothing but wash his hands of what he did is just a farce. What he’s saying is he did something terribly wrong and he wants it to go away. (The action of a child) And since he will probably be brought into a wrongful death suit he is throwing himself on the mercy of the court by doing this. It’s a con. He’s a punk kid who lied about his being there, going there for something he wasn’t mature enough or legally able to handle, with a weapon he shouldn’t have had, and a parent that even drove him there and condoned the possessing of a gun to get into trouble. And that goes past the line of child endangerment.

The whole thing lacked truth across the board. He went into a riot zone knowing he could get into trouble with no horse in the race, lied about his being a medic, and carrying a gun that he had to know was going to get him into an altercation. An adult would have. In modern times, most combat medics carry a personal weapon, to be used to protect themselves and the wounded or sick in their care. By geneva convention this is limited to small caliber firearms such as 9mm pistols. Not AR’s.

But he’s just a poor child. Manure. Two people were killed because he did this. And people are celebrating the verdict? I can think of two families that aren’t. And when all the evidence is tossed back into the suite, like the gun or questioning why he is there at all overstepping the work of law enforcement, he’s toast.

People have compared this to the Simpson trial. Notice Simpson lost the wrongful death actions. There is aother case of displaying the difference between criminal and civil law.

It’s of no concern about them it’s about him letting go of the past and move ahead many do and win.
