” trying to enforce a law without first winning popular support is a bad strategy, and the ruling will be reversed.”
Wow. there was no popular support for homo “marriage.”
What other horrors are you willing to tolerate until people change their minds. If the majority want to have sex with little ones will you oppose making it illegal? It’s apparently reasonable to you that we legally kill them.
Same sex marriage doesn’t affect those not in the marriage as much as a law that could suddenly affect any woman capable of getting pregnant. So there is a lot of indifference. Also, I’m sure you noticed there was a concentrated campaign in the arts, and in popular entertainment, since the 1970s to normalize homosexuality. And it succeeded with a LOT of people.

But until the culture (books, movies, music, TV shows, influencers, celebrities) makes abortion feel cruel, wrong, and shameful to the majority, trying to enforce prohibition of abortion will follow the cycle I predicted, whether we like it or not.
