In the words of the hymn: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” There is something to virtue signaling. It becomes counterproductive when it hurts innocent people or is done against innocent or neutral targets while the real crimes are going on and are unchecked. Another good read, Mark Twain’s essay My First Lie and How I got Away with it.
Bear in mind that boycotts by leftards are a weapon of choice. They have BDS, boycotts to support Cesar Chavez’ fruit-picker’s union (he hated illegal immigrants, oddly enough, but is still a leftard icon), boycotts against South African Apartheid. Hoist them on their own petard.
A simple act of truth is now revolutionary. Whether a boycott is effective or not is irrelevant. It is a meritorious act valid on its own, and may yield fruit or not.

Islam is a stated and sworn enemy of Western Civilization. While I am not enamored of the Chinese Communists pardon me if I’m not interested in fighting for the rights of people whose coreligionists have murdered Americans and who intend to murder more Americans.
And when the Chicoms start murdering Christians? They are persecuting them at present, but it’s a question of “when” they start murdering Christians. The Uyghurs won’t be around to make common cause with anymore, and sooner rather than later. They’re already killing them. Likewise Tibetan Buddhists, Fulan Gong, Hong Kong dissidents, Chinese dissidents, anybody else they feel like offing before they make their move against the West. “Enemy of my enemy is my friend.” So if Uyghurs are your enemy, and Chicoms are your enemy but a greater threat, I’d choose the Uyghurs for my friends for now, just on the basis of Chicoms wanting to annihilate them.
“Appeasers feed their enemies to the crocodile in the hopes that they be eaten last.” Smart strategists make common cause with a sometimes-belligerent but numerically superior neighbor against the crocodile. 1.4 billion Muslims in the world. Do they hate westerners? Of course. But if you rub their nose in the sh!t that China’s pulling against fellow Muslims, they’ll go after the 1.2 billion Chinese. That’s a good thing. The Taliban could be persuaded to stop playing footsie with Xi Jinpig. The jihadis could turn their attention away from Israel for a while to rescue their co-religionists, and Pakistan stop feuding with India over Cashmir. And India feels threatened, too, quite apart from the Uyghurs, as do Australia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, etc. Later, when the dust settles and if we’re all still alive, the Muslims will go back to hating the west but with one less claim of justification for it, in its place a debt of honor that they probably will forget in time, and China may be liberated from communism once and for all.
Or you could just munch popcorn while they exterminate Uyghurs today, and Christians tomorrow or next week.

Japan bombed Pearl Harbor because FDR refused to sell them anymore oil after the Rape of Nanking. Now strategic oil reserves are being sold to a fascist regime to “stabilize the price” and major corporations are dropping their pants and bending over for China in the face of rampant imperialism, oppression and genocide, while BDS soy boys try to deter shoppers from buying Israeli humus by singing hideously in supermarkets. Something is seriously wrong. It’s like the last days of Pompeii.
Look, to me the ChiComs vs. the Muslims is little different from eighty years ago when it was the Nazis vs. the Communists.

In point of fact, in this case the Muslims and the Chicoms, viewed from a global perspective, are evenly matched. If the Muslims are made acutely aware of what the Chicoms are doing to their Muslim minority, the rest of the Muslims may just get seriously p!ssed. I would encourage that.
In point of fact, Christians should be seriously p!ssed at what they are doing to Christians in China. Buddhists should be seriously p!ssed at what they are doing to Buddhists in Tibet. Exercise fad enthusiasts should be seriously p!ssed at what they are doing to Fulon Gong enthusiasts in China. Democracy and freedom lovers should be seriously p!ssed at what they are doing to Hong Kong and threatening to do to Taiwan. Then there’s Covid.
But so long as they’re also committing crimes against Muslims, whom you don’t like, you’ll ‘stay out of it’ and continue to buy Chicom-produced crap.
I’m not saying go to war with China, just boycott Chinese goods, to the extent it’s possible. They dominate the market in just about everything, and that itself is a bad thing. Trump was encouraging the development of alternative supply lines, bypassing China. But now that you know they’re killing Uyghers, you’re ok with the supply line as is.
