Massachusetts could soon roll out a digital COVID-19 vaccination passport, Gov. Charlie Baker said Monday afternoon on GBH News’ Boston Public Radio.
Massachusetts is part of a coalition of states — somewhere between 15 and 20, Baker estimated — working to develop the technology. Baker displayed his personal QR code, attesting to his vaccination status, to hosts Jim Braude and Margery Eagan.
“This is my proof that I’ve been vaccinated. It’s easy to access, it’s a universal standard and we’ve been working with a bunch of other states,” Baker said, adding the passport could launch “soon.”

Last April, Baker said the state had no plans to launch a mandated vaccine passport system, describing it as a hurdle to getting more residents inoculated.
“I want to vaccinate people,” Baker said at the time. “Let’s get people vaccinated.”
Yet by September, Baker warmed up to the idea, saying people needed an easier way to prove their protection against COVID-19.

The digital passport requires an ID. It simply does not work without an ID, e.g. drivers license. People can copy their friend's digital passport, the bouncer will scan it, then ask for the ID to see if the name on the ID is the same as the name on the passport. You could present the passport and say you didn't bring an ID, and yes, you are John Doe (your friend's name).
Mostly I hope this crap will be rejected by the general public once people realize they are being tracked personally, by name. Because that's how it works.
New York, the first state to launch an app-based vaccine passport system, paid IBM millions of dollars to help build the Excelsior Pass platform. The system was designed to make reopening safer by providing businesses with a more secure way to confirm vaccination status than checking paper CDC cards, which are easily forged. But neither New York state nor New York City require businesses to scan the Excelsior Pass, and the low number of total scans suggests the Excelsior Pass is too complicated for its own good. Meanwhile, workers don’t have a strong incentive to prolong the process of checking people’s proof of vaccination when they already face harassment from customers angry about Covid-19 guidelines.

While I believe the "rapture" is the "first resurrection" at the end of the tribulation, yet some of the old "rapture" movies in essence portrayed some of basic developments which current events are precursors of.
I’d bet a creative iOS developer could create an Apple wallet payload that would look like the IBM pass.
You can be sure IBM took the money and ran away. If this pass was created by India, it’ll never work correctly.
Thanks, I’ll try it. I’ve been using Duck Duck Go. Has that been compromised, does anyone know?
