Dude doesn’t even know that most oil isn’t even used to make gas... It is used to make millions of things everyone needs and uses...
I believe about 70% of each barrel of oil (figuratively) is used for some form of transportation.
Products such as plastics, fertilizers, foams, etc account for approximately 30%.
If my numbers from recollection are off here please correct me.
Very little oil is used to produce electricity. Natural gas is used to make lots of clean electricity.
