Africans are learning a tough lesson about Chicom “deals.”
Something about doing business with the devil comes to mind...
Chicoms of course are penny wise pound foolish. Being a stickler on 3rd world loans does not buy you influence, nor does owning an airport if the local government turns on you.
This is the warning sign we have been awaiting for re their future takeover of Africa.
As much as I hate to see China get a foot hold in any country, this is probably going to cost China.

Good Uganda can become the Chinese’ own little Vietnam for them...fighting off guerilla groups including Muslims that don’t like them. Uganda is landlocked with no access to the sea and it averages about 900 meters above sea level. Gunboats will have to be trucked across other nations to get to the passable lakes or rivers or airdropped. No easy resupply.
USA sent its first WWII troops to Africa.
China controls ports formerly run by the USA.

why is Greenland important? Huge rare earth deposits. CCP has been working its way to complete monopoly on that bunch of assets.

I think you have been wondering about whoever may be financially supporting the useful idiots Halfwit and MeGain in their campaign to diminish the prestige and influence of the British monarchy. Those two stooges are just trying to get rich, join the A list somewhere, and dish out some petty revenge because they are spoiled brats, but they may unwittingly be serving someone else’s nefarious purposes.
Having seen this occurring in West Africa, I have some idea of where this eventually goes.
China will begin operating the airport for their own profit. Uganda will raise taxes. China will eventually complain or stop paying the taxes. Uganda will seize the airport for failure to pay back taxes. Somebody else will see this as a political opportunity to offer Uganda money to fix up the airport.
This will take less or more time depending on the amount of money China bribes the government officials with. Eventually though, they do not offer enough money and the politician thinks they can get more money for the airport from someone else.
There are hundreds of common diseases they “know” nothing about in Africa, but the US has seen them many times in other places.
If the base there was dealing with sending troops into the bush, they would know what was needed. In my case it was the dreaded Gamma Globulin shot! That was a “literal” pain in the butt.
Watch Uganda suffer the same fate as Tibet....population replacement by Chinese....starting with the forced sterilization of Ugandan women.......BUT you won’t hear a thing about it.....all done in secret....squeelers will be assassinated.....
