Transgender. Is there really such a thing?
Your chromaoomes don’t change.
Yes.
My child has an incurable defect of the endocrine system that causes free floating adrenal androgens in the brain to be recognized as testosterone.
Hyperandrogenism, gender dysphonia, depression, the works. It was years of hell, years of prayers, and a fortune in medical bills trying to figure out if there was any way to stop it. Therapists, specialists, labs, labs, labs, more specialists, psychiatrists, it didn’t end for over half a decade.
I watched my beautiful, brilliant, talented daughter morph into an odd looking, suicidal boy, because her endocrine system was so jacked up. Think post-partum depression on steriods.
People think they know what life is like for trans kids. People think they know what life is like for the parents of trans kids. The media likes to portray it as something wonderful.
It is not. It is the 7th level of hell and my kid would not wish it on their worst enemy.
