Things just haven't been the same since Camden, NJ got
bumped out of the number 1 spot - in murders per-capita.
Looks kinda like an urban Mogadishu, don't it?
The place (Camden) looked a lot better 54 years ago
(when I was 3 years old) and my parents said:
"You know, this place is going downhill - let's sell this
house (which they did (at a loss) and move to
the rural suburbs and buy a 3 bedroom,1 1/2 bath, 1 car garage
with full basement rancher on 3/4 acre backing up
to school-owned woods rancher that will appreciate by
1400% over the next 50 years. So our sons can grow up in
the affluent suburbs among decent folks."
And they DID that. Thank God.
I grew up across Route 73 from the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
A MUCH better place...
