I watched a YouTube video yesterday by a pair of gun-owning lawyers saying that any sign like that will only invite grief if someone, no matter the circumstances should happen to get shot.

It appears that criminals have hit upon the tactic of flash smash and grab mobs hitting stores that sell expensive and portable goods. Have cars waiting outside, rush in grab what you can and get out before cops arrive. Cars drive off in different directions. Odds are nearly everyone gets away. Cold weather and masks hide identities.

One way of stopping this is having large armed guys at the exit, but that might put off the regular customers and should the guard actually touch a thief, let alone detain or shoot him, the store will be sacked and burned by ‘mostly peaceful’ demonstrators.
