“I would argue that this is the worst thing that ever happened to humanity because the essential ambition of the totalitarian state is to control not just conduct but self-expression and thought. And for the first time in history because of the technological revolution, the capacity for totalitarian forces to literally control every aspect of human expression and even human thought is now unprecedented…”

Strange times, indeed. Who would have thought I’d agree with RFK Jr.

Never thought I’d agree with him, either-but what I observed as a teen about JFK and RFK would get them both declared disciples of Satan to Nancy and the rest of the ‘rat party now-and they’d be more conservative than GWB-sort of almost-Rinos...

No kidding - but correct is correct. The pharmaceutical industry has produced some real wonder drugs, and has helped hundreds of millions, if not billions, survive over the last several decades who otherwise would have succumbed to some disease or condition. Those involved deserve the gratitude of humanity - even knowing that the profits were generally quite high for developing such drugs. After all (to quote the Godfather), we are not Communists.

However, certain elements within Big Pharma are ONLY after profits...and they seem to be largely in control of the industry at this point in time. Efficacy and safety do NOT seem to be the highest priority, getting drugs out, approved (even if only on an emergency basis) and sold IS the priority. RFK, Jr. is correct - I have listened to him before on this issue - that the vaccine makers are utterly immune to lawsuit, and have thus not taken the care necessary to produce safe vaccines. While I am not anti-vax, I **AM** anti-Covid vax. These gene-altering drugs (not vaccines, let’s be sure about that) have not been tested thoroughly enough, and there are literally NO long term studies of their efficacy or safety because the damned things only started being used only about a year ago after a very short testing protocol (which, itself, was riddled with apparent problems and associated deletions of key data to obtain approval).

RFK, Jr. is quite simply correct about this issue. However wrong any of us may think that he is on a host of other issues (mainly political), that doesn’t matter. It is his words, not who he is, that relay the truth (or lack thereof).

Now if we could only get liberals and Leftists to take seriously the words of those to the political right of them, we might actually get somewhere in restoring both civility and the strength of this country.
