As for their submarine fleet, while it may be of some concern it does not come close to being a deterrent of our constantly on patrol fleet of ballistic missile submarines.

************

Its a big concern. The Russian Navy commands one of the largest submarine fleets in the world. Russia also has a fleet of ballistic missile submarines that conduct deterrent patrols.

Read up on Russia’s new long-range nuclear-powered torpedo (i.e., Status-6 or “Poseidon”). It can be fitted with a 100-megaton nuclear warhead designed to create radioactive tsunamis, among other concerning capabilities.

Were Russia being run by crazed muzzies perhaps I would be concerned but the Russians do not believe in the 70 virgins bullsh*t and they know as does the rest of the world that a nuclear attack on us will bring a counter attack and total annihilation for their effort.

There is as yet no known defense against these missile subs which together can carry as 3000 or so nuke warheads with each warhead having the destructive capacity 25 times that of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki drops in 1945.

Even a full scale attack on our mainland which totally destroyed our strike capability from here while knocking out all communications would not prevent our subs from launching on their programmed targets.

There are surely many things to be concerned about but a nuke strike from Russia or China is way, way down on the list.
