It would be very confusing to have a variant with a confusing name. And really, aren’t all these variants just versions of the flu? We should be well past the Greek alphabet by now.

The scientific and engineering symbol for a micron is the Greek letter mu, μ. Why bother changing from "mu" to "micron"? That's just stupid.

You medically knowledgable Freepers help me out here. I thought that all cold and flu viruses are corona viruses. They mutate all the time, which is why I’ve always heard that you’ll build immunity and never get the same cold twice. So, are these “new strains” specifically mutations of Covid 19 or are they just regular old cold and flu corona viruses?
