Seriously, though. I’ve been wondering about nosocomial infections rates since there’s been bugger all about it in the news.
Especially when hospitals are firing people who likely have far superior immunity.
And if nosocomial infection is an issue, then anyone going to a hospital needs to be aware of that.
Conclusions: Current surveillance definitions underestimate nosocomial acquisition. Most nosocomial transmission occurs from a relatively limited number of highly infectious individuals.
