My buddy, who’s almost never sick enough to miss work, got jabbed about 15 days ago, and has now been in bed for four days, about as sick (with respiratory symptoms) as he’s ever been.

I'm fighting the damn 'rona as I type. Went today to get the PCR test to confirm...but no jab for me.

One of the fellows at work is out withCovid, so I immediately started a concoction of vitamins, herbals, and an antibiotic: Vitamin C, D, Zinc, quercetin, elderberry, echinacea, Oscillococcinum, and Zithromax.

It doesn't feel like the worst bout of the flu I've had, but it's definitely annoying; I figure a 48-hour cycle.

Sounds like you’re doing better with it than he is. He’s not very crunchy so aside from taking vitamin C, he’s limited to what the medical-industrial complex will do for him, his wife’s influence I think. Plus he’s diabetic. Thank God he seems to be pulling out of it. Glad you’re getting through it too. He’s 65, generally good health other than the diabetes (non-medicated for now).

Best wishes for a quick recovery.

Get yourself some NAC here (very high quality): https://www.lifeextension.com/vitamins-supplements/item01534/n-acetyl-l-cysteine. It helps fight lung congestion and the inflammation of the cytokine storm, because it is a precursor to glutathione, one of the most powerful anti-oxidants your body produces. I take 1/day as a preventative, but would take 4/day if I get sick with Fauci19.

Interestingly enough, another cheap treatment is to combine Pepcid AC and Zyrtec (or their generics, even cheaper), both available OTC, to limit inflammation and lung congestion. Hospitalizations and deaths were reduced for those taking the combination of those two medications. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7455799/

Finally, aspirin - yeah, something that cheap and available - may help a lot. Aspirin has the triple effects of inhibiting virus replication, anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04365309

Another study on aspirin and Fauci19: https://www.acsh.org/news/2021/06/15/aspirin-reduces-ventilation-and-deaths-hospitalized-covid-19-patients-15603

I had it for about 9 days. Slowly creeped on me and peeked around day 4 or 5 and slowly went away. I’ve been sicker but it wasn’t the greatest picnic. Was doing vit D3, Zinc, E, and C before and stuck with it while sick and recovered just fine. I just didn’t like that it stayed around for so long.
