Because the media has lied so much and so often about this COVID thing, generally, any media report about COVID increases, etc. should be treated presumptively as a false report.
The presumption can be rebutted with clear and convicting evidence to the contrary.

I was in my local Wal-Mart yesterday here in coastal Florida.
It was packed and only about 15% of the customers were wearing masks.
Most Americans have been exposed.
Most people over 50, on a prescription drug, having contact with a very old person or weak immune system individual, or likely to become pregnant or in late pregnancy should consider getting “fully vaccinated” or talking with their doctor about Covid vaccination, in my lay opinion. Babies born after 2019 are not likely to have substantial immunity to coronaviruses.
Time to eliminate and/or completely reorganize the CDC, NIH & FDA.

My former neighbor lives on Cape Cod.
One of her two granddaughters has a mild case of Covid. The other granddaughter, a twin, isn’t sick.
In the USA, there are about 11,000 people in the ICUs and about 44,000 in the hospital because of Covid according to google[search term: covid cases].
