How much you wanna' bet that he was recently released from jail or prison?

If you consider 2 days ago "recently", you win that bet. Released on $1,000 bail, despite one of his charges being a "felony bail jumper". You can't make this stuff up.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve been retired almost 18 years from a 25 year career in uniform, in NY State Corrections. I truly believe that there should be severe punishment for the a-holes who order the release of these monsters, who then go out and kill or maim people within days of their release. The Judges, etc., need to be held and charged as accessories to their crimes. They enabled them so they could go back out, and commit murder and mayhem. If the guy had been kept behind bars as he should have, this never would have happened. The sad thing is it happens way too often, and the people who let them out, get a free pass every time.

I just checked, and Wisconsin has a Three Strikes Law. This guy is a persistent felony offender, and should be locked up for life. They list these crimes among those that will get you a strike:

Arson
Burglary
Carjacking
Robbery
Kidnapping
Murder
Most sex crimes

If this guy is considered a career criminal, I'd bet he's already reached the three strikes, and then some. It's possible he could have already been tried under the Three Strikes Law, but the Attorney General Josh Kaul, Democrat, can't be bothered to do the job, and protect the people of Wisconsin.
