Understand your sentiments. Things are looking bleak for continued civilized country. Crime is going crazy. I know and work with many blacks. I’m in the engineering arena. I cannot ask a single person. What do successful blacks think about the absurd levels of black crime. There is an area about 40 miles from me that is the white trash / meth / crime central to the county I live in. Crime reports in that area and everyone knows it’s white trash. Don’t go in that area at night especially on Friday or Saturday night …. It’s embarrassing to me that poor whites act trashy. Most of My family is working low wage whites but not trash.
Long question short, what do average successful blacks think about things like this story. Broad brush question. Feel free to ignore if you think it’s a rude question. Not my intent.
I’m entirely with you. All people, black, white, etc., should condemn poor, illegal, immoral and self-destructive behavior by blacks, but blacks, especially, should do so. Instead the majority of them have been cowed by the left to blame those behaviors on racism.
I taught for 10 years at an all-black urban high school. When I tried to speak about middle class values, even without using that label (work ethic, honesty, etc.) the other teachers yelled at me. I said, great, then promote ghetto values. Up to you. They shut up right quick.
Still, as much as blacks must condemn the illegal behavior of other blacks, whites mustn’t condemn all blacks for them, either.
... what’s particularly sad is that a large strain of male blacks who do condemn illegal, immoral behavior are the Nation of Islam types who base their entire ideology on race.
Middle class black America, as with Muslims, needs to find it’s voice.
That said, I know white teachers at black urban charter schools, in the worst of the worst neighborhoods, who complain that their black male principles are “too conservative”. LOL, that’s the point, idiots!
I think it all comes down to white, leftist America: losers who blame everyone but themselves.
