It is on the BART line -- or as we call it back east, the subway line -- and it's not even at the end of the line.

Eighty looters in ski masks with crowbars: that's crazy enough to be a San Francisco story.

The other day, I was wondering what happened to "flash mobs."

If this is them making a comeback, I'd just as soon they didn't.

It is on the BART line -- or as we call it back east, the subway line -- and it's not even at the end of the line.

There have been a number of crimes committed at shopping malls on the BART line, notably Tanforan Mall in San Bruno, where the thieves flee on BART (station connected to the mall). Some have been caught by police (police station also connected to the mall), and the thieves are most often from Oakland. These thieves conveniently use BART to travel from Oakland to raid affluent suburbs.
