Don't forget that 19 Rep Senators voted for the same bill first, including McConnell. That is 20% of the Rep senators, far more than the Reps in the House, who are unfairly taking most of the heat for this attrocity.

Every one of the Senate Democrats voted in favor of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill, which passed on Tuesday with support from Republicans. The passage came after weeks of negotiations between a group of 10 Republican and Democratic senators. In the end, 19 Republicans — including the minority leader, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky — joined 50 Democrats and independents to vote in favor of the legislation.

Here are the Republicans who voted with Mr. McConnell to approve the bill:

Roy Blunt of Missouri

Richard Burr of North Carolina

Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia

Bill Cassidy of Louisiana

Susan Collins of Maine

Kevin Cramer of North Dakota

Michael D. Crapo of Idaho

Deb Fischer of Nebraska

Lindsey Graham of South Carolina

Charles E. Grassley of Iowa

John Hoeven of North Dakota

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska

Rob Portman of Ohio

James Risch of Idaho

Mitt Romney of Utah

Dan Sullivan of Alaska

Thom Tillis of North Carolina

Roger Wicker of Mississippi

I see a lot of trucks like that, full of household stuff, usually one towing another, with a Mexican or Central American driver, on I-85 or I-65 South.

Are they bringing their “lottery earnings” home to El Abuelos?

The Reps in FL are not doing a good job in redistricting, essentially letting the Dems alone. This is a once in a decade opportunity in red states to reinforce their Congressional edge. The Dems are ruthless in this regard.

It sounds like TX is going the same way.

If not, go ahead and post it!

This thread is more for the political news generated by the liars on the Sunday News shows...

But you can certainly post a link here, too.

Wisconsin - funny, home to Swedish emigrants (yes I know, a long time ago) and yet Sweden did not impose Flu Tyranny on their people and in Europe, Sweden has come out the best with this Flu pandemic.

Not sure why Wisconsin and Massachusetts suffer from the same version of Brain dead leftism

ABC, NBC, MSNBC Black bimbos, Chuck Todd and Joy Reid: In the old South White Democrats burned down black towns...

White democrats in the old South never felt burning down black towns was wrong, but they did objected to 'interference'...

Imagine a black 17 year old kid walking into the fray while white KKK democrats were burning down the black city. And the black teenager, carrying a gun decides HE will try to protect some of the town's buildings.

We'll call him Riddenhome... young black man... more courage than fear.

In the old tradition of overseers - going back to the days of slavery, three black men - criminals - were assisting the KKK burning down the city... They attacked Riddenhome... and Riddenhome shoots them - killing two fellow black men.

Fast forward to the trial - the white community is outraged a 17 year old black kid would try to stop the KKK and white people from expressing their rage and the black teenager is is on trial.

Which way would you black bimbos and white enablers call the trial...

Dear Chucky Todd child

Why, in under a year, did the USA go from low gas prices and pentyful domestic production to artifical created shortages and high gas prices?

What changed in Jan 2021 that caused us to go from a net energy exporter back to our 1970s style energy dependency on OPEC?

No doubt, DJT won’t make the same mistake when given a second chance.

To hell with DC insiders, finish the wall, move many departments out of DC, eliminate others like education totally. Condense others. Outlaw federal employee unions. He can take his time with it over the 4 year term, but much would be easiest accomplished with sold house majorities and control of Senate, too before a ‘26 midterm. Should R majorities grow even more then, he’d have supermajorities to facilitate the resurrection of responsible govt.

Notice, we haven’t seen much rioting post Rittenhouse which tells me they know it reflects terribly on Ds, but Joe, Cammy, and Pelosi —all by themselves—will adequately destroy their party leading into ‘22 midterms.

Your Gov might accomplish much the same in a quieter fashion, so I’m still torn who is best to run in ‘24. DeSantis is bold, you bet, but not quite as bold as DJT, imho, but that’s the key. A quiet assassin, or a loud one ?

The bigger question is how do you get rid of them? And how quickly? And how important are the primaries?

I have been shouting as loud as I can here and elsewhere about just how important the primaries are and how we need to nationalize many races to get rid of these slugs.

Take South Carolina for example.

If you knew that Lindsay Graham hung with traitor and criminal of all sorts John McCain for years, they were almost inseparable, and yet the people of SC did not get rid of him in the primaries!! Who do we blame?
Until Trump started to go after good conservative candidates for the primaries in many states many ignored the importance of primaries.
Now they are important and I'm glad. It's the best surest way to get rid of bad rubbage.

I Blame Paul Ryan, most of all, for all the problems we’re having right now.

When Trump was elected they had a Republican majority In the House and Senate.

Paul Ryan prevented them from taking advantage of it.

They refused to even send Trump the exact same Obamacare repeal bill that they sent to Obama 50 times. Obama refused to sign it, but Trump would have.

The deep State overwhelmed Trump but he was not used to it and I think he is now.

It sounds like TX is going the same way.

Possibly, turnout is the issue. If you care you go vote, if you do not care then all these people wait for is the Bread and circuses as happened in Rome starting a little before Ceaser's time and continuing for the next four hundred years.

Turnout in the upcoming primaries will be an indication of where we are and where we will be heading.

It is possible that the LOCAL Schooling issues will prove to be the spark to get people to vote.

One positive sing here in Houston, recent elections have created a number of runoffs, especially for the Houston School district "Trustees" - Newcomers are in these runoff elections. As always, the wife and I will be voting for the newcomer in out local runoff election in a few weeks
