I’m not sure if hollow points are available in that caliber; please correct me if I’m wrong. It’s the high velocity of the rounds combined with their being relative long vs their width that does the damage. When one hits a person or animal the tip slows rapidly while the tail keeps moving, causing the round to summersault as it goes through the target. That phenomenon causes huge, ragged wounds, just like the monster wound suffered by Shootee No. 3.
