By the "logic" being espoused here, there is no need for separate men's and women's events in the olympics. There should be one open event for each sport where everyone (men and women) compete for the spots to represent their respective countries and ultimately against the international competition at the olympic games.
The end result will be olympic teams comprised entirely (or almost entirely) of biological men, unless they reserve a few 'token' spots in the name of 'diversity' for the team events.
