I been watching this case all week.

Being a true crime afficiando, I am mesmerized.

My opinion, for what it’s worth, is that this case is much like Rittenhouse....the assailant was going to grab the gun of the owner and shoot HIM.

On other words, self-defense.

But a spell binder.

It’s all on video.

I guess over jury is a minor offense compared to what he’s going to get.

These guys are morons.

Any normal person , when asked by the people in the pickup , in broad daylight , to stop for a moment , would have stopped for a moment. “ Yes sir, what’s going on?” “ Why am I here ? Just going for a run ,sir”
Show a little respect , black to white, whites to black. No need aggro , no need act suspicious . Just be normal and neighborly and none of that would have ever happened.

Worst case should have been , “ You have called the police? Ok, let’s just wait right here and we can talk to them.”

All of these incidents that become life and death m start with someone defying police orders , or being nuts ,when they should just be calm and chill.

If you are innocent , it’s easy to be relaxed, calm and chill .

Moral of the story: If you think someone might have done something in your neighborhood, video it and call the police.

Perhaps the kid might have done some minor crime. We don’t know. Do not grab weapons and hunt him down in your truck because he looked suspicious.

“He had my gun. He struck me,”

Whatever happened prior to that is moot. I don’t care if the pickup had a Confederate glad and was blasting Dixie. You try to wrestle a gun away from somebody you are an aggressor. If the “runner” had just stayed peaceful he’d be alive.

The defendants are going to be convicted.

Nothing like what happened in the Rittenhouse case.

Is there any doubt that these guys are going down considering the current social and political climate? Everything I’ve seen suggests that they injected themselves into a confrontation while conducting their wanna be cop neighborhood watch.

I’m really asking if any of you think she will get off?

Felt threatened?
Carberry was trying to yank the shotgun out if McMicael’s hands .

If that’s not ‘ threatening ‘ I don’t know what is.
Of course he shot him.

What about those black youths who chased down some passing jogger a baseball player drove up behind him and shot him in the back.
I believe that they said they were bored.
What happened to them?
Or Reginald Denny assailants? Mayhem ? caught up in it?
Gimme a break.Rest assured that the only peace and safety count worthy is what you afford yourself and your love ones.

McMichael grabbed his shotgun and got into his truck with his father, Gregory, in the passenger seat. Although they didn't know Arbery's name at the time, they were looking for him. When McMichael caught up with Arbery, he said he drove beside him and asked him to "please stop" but that Arbery didn't stop or speak to him. At one point, McMichael said, he told Arbery the police were coming because he believed his father had called them, which he said caused Arbery to run off. With his father in the the truck, McMichael eventually parked. That's when he saw Arbery running toward him, and McMichael said he raised his shotgun to deter Arbery, who ran toward the other side of the truck. McMichael said Arbery then started to run back toward the truck and, worried that Arbery was going to harm his father, McMichael ran toward him. That's when the two began to fight. "He had my gun. He struck me," McMichael said, choking up as he described the shooting. "It was obvious that he was attacking me, that if he would've got the shotgun from me, then it was a life or death situation. And I'm gonna have to stop him from doing this, so I shot." McMichael said he felt that Arbery was overpowering him and he had to use lethal force.

They admit to going after him themselves first. They instigated this - Arbery did not create this situation. Not first degree murder, but probably manslaughter. Totally unwise behavior. Stay home or follow at a distance and let the police deal with it if you think he's been breaking into your houses. He's under no obligation to speak with you while he's just jogging down the road. He has the right to ignore you.

Whatever the complexities of this case, real or imagined, for these guys to get off, or a slap on the wrist, is going to result in a REAL riot of the kind some are still hoping for in the aftermath of the Rittenhouse not guilty verdict. In fact, the idiots who prosecuted Rittenhouse made him out to be basically the aggressor just in the same way as McMichaels was.Interesting counterpoint between these two cases, and the assumptions behind them.NOW, with the Rittenhouse case settled for the time being, the public attention can finally be turned toward the Arbery case.

HERES WHY AHMAUD ARBERY’S VERDICT WAS WRONG

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phSJiYOHYnw

Excerpt from the Comments Section:

As a former Police Officer and a student of the law I feel that your interpretation is correct. In any “murder” you have to show either premeditation or “mens rea” which literally means “evil mind or evil intent”. I see none of that here!! If “their” intention was to kill him regardless, the father could have shot him. The only time the gun was discharged was when Arbury charged the son. Arbury could have run away but he decided to “attack” instead! An appeal needs to be filed immediately. Bad verdict!!!
