The Newest Texans Are Not Who You Think They Are

...

Eklund has built his New York–based Elliman subsidiary, the Eklund Gomes Team, around what he calls the “golden triangle” of U.S. real estate: New York, Miami, and L.A. But as he and his partners got wind of Texas’s booming population and economy in recent years, they started planning to expand here—to Houston, Austin, and Dallas, another kind of golden triangle. As he would tell me later, “I was in Beverly Hills yesterday, and Texas real estate was the only thing anyone wanted to talk to me about.”

I continue to watch in horror as Texas self-flagellates toward a big-city-dominated nightmare.

I knew about the influx of Californians, but there's also corrupt kleptocrats coming in from Cook County, one of the most corrupt in the country. The big corporations are ultimately the largest threat. When (the article names several) relocates and brings its employees with it, these are voters who didn't flee radical wackiness in their former state. They appreciated that former radical wackiness and want to turn Texas into the new radical wackiness with their votes. Austin is Texas' future. It's alarming.

Exodus from blue states should make them purple at least. All they need is 51% of them left behind and a bunch of illegals. Time is on their side.

Well I always say when the SHTF and it becomes a lot of work to keep warm in winter, the entitlement army will head south.

California has sent forth enough sons to turn Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and now Arizona (and maybe soon Texas and Montana and Idaho) blue. And yet California has gotten MORE liberal.

Numerous Texans have assured me that Texas isn’t going blue anytime soon. I e been assured of this multiple times. “It can’t happen here” they say.

So goes TX. so goes the nation. The new inhabitants will surely bring their leftist socialist ways with them.

“The entitlement army”

I’m definitely borrowing that one.

What it comes down to is any talk of Texas secession is ultimately a joke unless the discussion is dominated by swiss cheese.

That is, pop a hole in it and eject Dallas/FW, eject Houston, and eject San Antonio. That’s what it will require to save Texas - swiss cheese.

Then there is this very shocking and surprising tidbit
Perhaps the most surprising Texas statistic that landed with the latest census: those of Hispanic or Latino origin, Asians, and members of other racial and ethnic minority groups made up about 95 percent of the population growth from 2010 to 2020.
I really find that hard to believe.

Yeah, those with a life-sized affliction of apathy are the most dangerous of all. They are completely undependable in a fight, and they take you down with them because of that.

I would love to get a currently-apathetic Texan into the same room with a formerly-apathetic Coloradoan and let them duke it out. I know the Coloradoan would win. Shoulda woulda coulda always does but by then its too late.

Perry and Abbott are azzholes who worked as hard as they could to bring in Californian and New York companies. They also love them some moslems and Chinese.

They have destroyed the state with slow acting poison and the demise is baked in the cake now.

The party of Bush did this.

Source?

It only shows the dem “margins”. What were the other groups growth rates.

Margins in this context does not make sense. If I see the full data, I might understand what you are trying to present.

“All they need is 51% of them left behind”

They need 51% only until they institutionalize election fraud. For example, California now sends unsolicited mail ballots to all registered voters, even if those voters died, moved out of state or were invented by a group like ACORN. And the ballots can legally be harvested. ACORN can submit thousands of ballots at a time, no questions asked.

Democrats are now governing as if they have no concern about election impact.

Not disagreeing with you, but I will disagree with those “numerous Texans”. When the Democrats running for Governor or Senate are within 15 points, then that is what law enforcement calls a clue.

As we all know, there are many, true BLUE states. Most states considered BLUE are that way because of a few large, urban centers swing the state in general elections...Cali, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, Michigan, NY, Penn, to name a few with more on the way, sadly.

I’d love to see someone do a model on how the political make up would shift it at least the Governor and Lt Governor positions were decided by an electoral college type procedure in states.

No reason that 5 cities in Georgia should have that much impact on who runs the state. Especially when the very large majority of the people in those cities barely venture out of them, unless they want to visit the wineries in Ellijay.

Red states need to limit easy welfare to able-bodied people to drive them out of state so they can leach off the blue states.
