ORLANDO, Fla.—President Joe Biden and the “entrenched political class” are ruining America with the help of a corrupt and partisan corporate media, says Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who promised to lead the fight against the current regime.
In a 40-minute speech Thursday to about 800 conservative supporters of The Heritage Foundation and its grassroots partner, Heritage Action for America, the Florida governor tackled a range of issues where Biden and his left-wing allies want to transform America. (The Daily Signal is the news outlet of The Heritage Foundation.)
DeSantis reserved some of his strongest criticism for the “elites” and “globalists” who he said have led America astray.
“Biden really represents potentially the culmination of—or, I mean, hopefully, the coup de grâce of—this entrenched political class that has really ruined a lot about our country over the last generation. It’s not limited to just Democrats,” DeSantis said. “There’s a uni-party in Washington, D.C., and they look out for themselves more than the rest of the American people.”
He added: “Our ruling class doesn’t think [there’s] anything distinctive about American citizenship. That’s why they would consider paying reparations to people that came across our border illegally, because they think people have a right to come, regardless of the laws and Constitution of the United States.”
Biden recently acknowledged his administration was considering payments to illegal immigrants who were caught illegally entering the United States. The Wall Street Journal reported the payments could be as much as $450,000 per illegal immigrant.
“You deserve some kind of compensation, no matter what the circumstance,” Biden said Nov. 6, while disputing the $450,000 figure. “What that will be, I have no idea.”

I sure made a good decision moving down here!
Hopefully soon our new President.
I appreciate that Trump has shown the way and in a general election with Trump as the GOP nominee I would vote for him. But I believe DeSantis is the best chance to advance freedom and DeSantis has my vote in the GOP primary.
Honestly, I think he’s more valuable as a governor.
We saw how hamstrung Trump was because of the people around him.
Hopefully, DeSantis is a bit better judge of character, but still, we need strong governors to stand up to the feds, and so far, he’s it.
I wish more would learn from his example, but they are already probably too compromised.
Florida is certainly taking on them all and become a loud speaker for the other states still dragging their feet in many ways......I have family members who moved there 30 yrs ago and love it.
I appreciate deSantis mentioning the “uni-party” operating in Washington....slowly but surely they’re being identified....Liz Cheney comes to mind as we know, and others who certainly can no longer hide.
The first time I’ve heard a high ranking politician use the term “uniparty.”
But at some point the torch has to be passed, I hope Trump stays around for a long time, but at his age, you cannot make any assumptions, and I don’t want the MAGA movement to die with him.
Actually the good thing is that DeSantis has worked with a lot of people as Florida Governor he can bring with him to Washington. Guys he knows and trusts. Trump could never get that.
That’s why I always believe Governors tend to be the best Presidents, especially when it’s a State like Florida.
Well it’s actually a reasonable term for those who are “deep state” representatives......they are in office primarily for themselves and sustaining their employment as a gov. official...so they are untied with others like themselves to keep the members with their grip o the power they weld.
obviously a racist white supremacist
Welcome home, FRiend!!
Governors have a chance of cleaning up state corruption and deadweight agencies, people.
At the federal level, the agencies are too big and too powerful and totally unaccountable. Layer upon layer of rule and regulation impedes firing, Congress has yet to see an agency that is useless. Even the fellow appointed to fix the agency in charge of Voice of America was unable to get the job done, on account of resistance from below. Nothing he could do, and that’s just one little, not-so-powerful agency.
Yes, one more term as governor to really cement the positive changes he's made in Florida. Then, president in 2028.
We need to pray that God would raise up more men and women of that caliber.
Or change the hearts of those already in office, since elections are two years out yet.
Outstanding!
Thank you! I am home!
Thanks to FReeper Tolerance Sucks Rocks for the ping.
Welcome to Florida! We love our governor. He completely gets it.
