A while back the nation had a court system where an injunction from a federal judge affected only the circuit in which the judge sat. But some activist judges claimed they had the authority to issue nationwide injunctions, did so, and no one challenged the injunctions. Liberals used this for a long time to get what they wanted through judge shopping. Find the right judge, get a nationwide injunction to stop, say, drilling, and voila, law of the land!

With a nationwide injunction on the vaccine mandate and a nationwide injunction on the drilling ban, this has come back to bite them in the *ss.

But as you said, relying on the courts to do things like this is not good.
