GOP food fight escalates in Georgia as Geoff Duncan attacks David Perdue

Republican infighting in Georgia is escalating as former Sen. David Perdue considers mounting a primary challenge against Gov. Brian Kemp in 2022.

In a local radio interview, Perdue blamed onetime ally Kemp for President Joe Biden's win over former President Donald Trump in Georgia last November. It was the first defeat for a Republican presidential nominee in the Peach State since 1992. Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, also under fire by some Republicans for the outcome in 2020, responded on Twitter with a scathing post that lampooned Perdue for losing his reelection bid to Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff.

"Reminder to all conservative voters paying attention — @perduesenate couldn't beat Jon Ossoff in 2020 using this same rhetoric. As a result [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer is now in charge. Thanks!" Duncan said in a Wednesday tweet.

Golly gee, maybe if the Atlanta democrats hadn't been allowed to massage the vote to under 50% that wouldn't have happened.

But none of the shenanigans were looked into, intentionally.

Duncan is SOOO pissed that he's been forced to retire because he'd lose if he ran again. The same will happen to Raffensperger, and may happen to Kemp.

Kemp and Raffensberger allowed illegal vote collecting. Then Wood and the idiot crowd told pubs to stay home during the runoff.

Pubs did this to themselves. We need to get the idiots out of the party, and give them to the Democrats.

Perdue was stabbed in the back by Mitch McConnell and the GOP-E

The ONLY thing the US Senate GOP could think to fight in the 3rd stimulus was the checks to US Citizens. They rubber stamped all the other Democrat spending lying called “stimulus”

Ga Democrats came back here and ran 24-7 on “we will get you the other $1400”.

The ONLY people that cost the GOP 2 GA Senate seats are the GOP-E clowns in the US Senate.

Perdue voted to certify the stolen election after promising not to. I’m having a hard time having any sympathy for him.

Who cares what the outgoing RINO vice governor thinks?

That said, David Perdue is another RINO. Do not want.

MTG - for a woman new to politics, she certainly can hit ‘em out of the park. I wish we had a hundred of her.

Good thing Rats are in control. Repukes cave much faster. They’d just give Sleepy everything his bosses tell him to ask for in the name of bi partisanship. As it stands now Repukes in the Senate barely opposed the Rat position on anything. Replace the phonies

I’d like to give Kemp a break. He’s done some good things as a Governor. If he had just stepped up and at least pushed for an investigation in Fulton and Dekalb counties - the video evidence is a slam dunk - I could see voting for him again.

But now, a year later? Not only no action, but his cronies have done everything to STOP an examination of 2020. Is he hoping we forgot that? Seriously, how can he stand before us and ask for our vote again?

It’s beyond ridiculous.

Duncan is a rabid anti-Trumper and has zero chance here. I’m wishy-washy on Kemp but so far he’s the only one I could vote for. Purdue laid down for Ossoff. Just not sure about Vernon Jones - we’ve been bit by so many Democrats who switched parties. I will definitely be following this closely before I cast my vote.

I don’t want card carrying Perdue back in any form. I can’t imagine GA Republicans voting for Kemp and Raffensperger. They are on the most hated list. They both belong in jail.

He actually didn’t because his Senate term expired before 1/6. He had said if he were in the Senate he would have voted to object.

Loeffler, on the other hand, went back on her word

Setting 2020 aside for the moment, criminal election fraud has been allowed to go on in Atlanta, etc. for decades. By now the locals think its their right to do it. Any GOP’er elected to a responsible state-wide office has a sworn duty to end it. (So do elected Rats but they benefit from it so they won't!) GOP’ers like Kemp & Raffensberger don't because of their fear of the “Race card” or they've been corrupted not to ! Either way their political career should be done !

Future candidates GOP or otherwise suitability should hinge on what they are going to do about it !
