That charge still included the under 18 with a gun charge - or rather didn’t make it abundantly clear it was no longer at issue - so I hope it’s not the instructions they carried to the jury room.
The judge when he read the charge out loud to the jury did mention the gun charge was no longer at issue.
But it’s created a lie for the media to go with (kid shouldn’t have had a gun! he crossed state lines!) and might confuse a dumber juror.
That jumped out at me, too. AFAIK that was the instructions given to the jury, and it was read aloud to the jury as well as given to them in written form.
