LONDON/HONG KONG, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Ships in Chinese waters are disappearing from tracking systems following the introduction of a new data law in China, frustrating efforts to ease bottlenecks that are snarling the global economy, according to three shipping sources directly impacted.

I don’t know enough to know whether this serves a strategic purpose in addition to providing more justification for reshoring, or not, but I’m betting some of you have worked in shipping and have some insights.

Q1: Who currently manages and tracks, and sells the logistical data?
Q2: Who would like to take over and sell the data, and completely control the logistical world?
