The guy writing this article should know the oil market is fungible. Who buying from who is not that relevant to the overall market.
Except that it's supposed to be the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve, not the world's fungible strategic petroleum reserve.
Hand our biggest enemy (who is currently waging war against us BTW) our strategic reserves right before the actual shooting starts. This is basically an act of treason. Or a telegraphing to xi that the Banana Republic of America is already unconditionally surrendering, please don't hurt us.
Maybe not relevant to the markets, but definitely relevant to readiness and balance of power. UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!
the strategic reserve is, as it’s name implies is to be used by the U.S. for disruptions in our oil supply from other markets, and should be held in reserve if and until such strategic important issues arise.
Unless you are selling to our enemy who’s goal is to destroy us
It is sure as hell relevant to the US market. Why is ANY "Strategic Petroleum Reserve" oil being exported AT ALL. The "Reserve" is "supposed" to be for use in the United States.
The guy writing this article should know the oil market is fungible. Who buying from who is not that relevant to the overall marke
I don’t see that as the point or the problem.
The problem is that the oil reserve is there for national defense needs in the event that the oil industry can’t produce fast enough for our defense needs.
That is a possibility since so much of our oil production has been shut down.
Really not the point of the SPR. Just my opinion. Price manipulation is what they use it for but not it’s purpose.
